Boy’s Junior Volleyball Net Height Ages 10 and under: 7 feet or 2.13 meters; Girl’s Junior Volleyball Net Height Ages 10 and under: 6 feet, 6 inches or 1.98 meters; Middle School Volleyball Net Heights. Volleyball net heights for players in middle school vary. Always refer to your state governing body for measurements as each state is different.
At the middle school level, volleyball net heights are 2.24 m (7 feet 4.125 inches) for boys and girls. The net height for girls stays this way in high school but for boys, the net height in high school volleyball is 7 inches higher. This is due to kids still growing and getting taller.
For FIVB World and Official competitions, the free zone is a minimum of 5m (16’) and a maximum of 6m (20’) from the end lines/side lines. The free playing space shall measure a minimum of 12.5m (41’) in height from the playing surface. Boundary lines mark the perimeter of the court.

Net Height. The official heights for the nets vary for men and women, but of course, you want to have success early on for beginner players so by all means feel free to adjust the net height. For ages 15 and above, the heights are: Men – 2.43 meters; Women – 2.24 meters; Variations. Below age 15, you can use: Boys and Girls ages 13-14 – 2.24 meters
For sitting (disabled) volleyball leagues, the net is lower to the ground. International net height is 3 feet, 9.28 inches (1.15 meters) tall for men’s leagues. For women, the net height is 3 feet, 5.34 inches (1.05 meters) tall. 6.) Youth volleyball net size & height. For youth volleyball, the regulation net height is the same for girls and boys (ages 11-12): 7 feet (2.13 meters) tall. Boys age 10-and-under use the same net height as youth volleyball.
Youth and Junior High Volleyball Net Height. The international volleyball federation sets the volleyball net height rules to create a common standard. Boys 12 years and under will typically play on a net height of 7 feet (2.13m). Girls 10 and under will reduce the height to 6 feet 6 inches (1.98m).
6. The net height for grades 7 & 8 shall be the same as the net height for grades 9-12 at 7’4 1/8”, per NFHS Rule. 7. Match limitations for each 7 & 8 grade team and player are 20 matches on no more than 20 playing dates. 8.
